Hello Highlands Soccer Club Families,

I hope you enjoyed the summer. This Sunday, September 7th, marks the start of the fall soccer season. Please review all the information below.

LOCATION
We will be practicing at the Central Park soccer fields at the bottom of the gravel drive just past the playgrounds and baseball field. We will use this location through the end of the season, weather permitting.

START TIME
If you are returning from the spring, please arrive at 2:45. If you are new for the fall, you should be at the field at 2:30 to submit your mandatory waiver form (download it at www.hsclub.org/forms.html) and to pick up uniforms.

TEAMS
Children returning from the spring are on the same teams with the same coaches. If you signed up for the fall season, your team assignments are at www.hsclub.org/teams2008fall.html.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL & CONTESTS
Immediately after the practice, we will have our ice cream social and soccer contests, rescheduled from the spring. In case of bad weather, we will move up to the new covered shelter area by the Central Park playgrounds. The event should finish at approximately 4:30.

SCHEDULE
Our schedule for the fall is: September 7, 14, 21, 28 and October 5, 12, 19, 26. Our end of year party and award ceremony is on October 26th, after practice.

PICTURE DAY
Teams pictures will be taken September 14. Further information regarding your child’s scheduled time of arrival will be sent in advance.

RAIN CANCELLATIONS
In case of rain during the season, parents are responsible to check online for cancellations at 2:00 pm at www.hsclub.org. If a session is cancelled, it can not be rescheduled.

SOCCER GEAR
It is highly recommended that you have suitable soccer shoes, shin guards, and water bottles for your children. We will have a limited number of soccer balls available, and if you choose to bring your own, you will want a size 3 ball for 3-6 year olds and size 4 for 7-12 year olds. Soccer Nation at 160 NW Gilman Blvd. is a reputable local retailer offering Highlands Soccer Club families a 10% discount.

SNACKS
We ask that each family bring, once or twice, a healthy snack and drink for their team during the season. On the first day of practice, your coaches will have the snack sign-up sheet. We also ask that one parent from each team be in charge of coordinating snacks.
